Emotional Overwhelm and Fatigue

Emotional overload and fatigue can feel like your mind and body have reached capacity, where even small tasks, decisions or conversations begin to feel overwhelming. Many people describe feeling mentally exhausted, emotionally numb, irritable, tearful or disconnected from themselves, often while still trying to hold everything together on the outside. When stress, pressure, responsibility or unresolved emotional pain builds for too long without recovery, the nervous system can remain in a constant state of tension and survival. In therapy, I help people understand the psychological impact of chronic stress and emotional exhaustion with compassion rather than self criticism. Together we work on recognising emotional limits, understanding triggers, calming the nervous system, rebuilding emotional resilience and creating healthier ways to cope before burnout begins to take over daily life.

Emotional Dysregulation

Emotional dysregulation can feel overwhelming, unpredictable and exhausting, as though your emotions become too intense to manage or switch off.

Many people experience sudden waves of anger, anxiety, panic, sadness or emotional shutdown that feel far bigger than the situation itself, often leaving them feeling guilty, misunderstood or emotionally out of control afterwards.

It can affect relationships, confidence, communication and everyday coping, especially when someone has spent years suppressing emotions, living in survival mode or carrying unresolved stress or trauma.

In therapy, I provide a safe, supportive space to help you understand the psychological reasons behind these emotional responses, recognise triggers with greater self awareness and develop healthier ways to process emotions without shame, fear or self judgement.

Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

I provide compassionate, trauma-informed counselling services for people experiencing trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), helping clients safely process distressing experiences without judgment or pressure. PTSD can affect emotional wellbeing, relationships, confidence, sleep, concentration and the ability to feel safe or in control. Using a combination of counselling, psychotherapy and mindfulness-based CBT approaches, I support clients in understanding trauma responses, reducing anxiety and emotional overwhelm, managing triggers, and rebuilding emotional stability at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Therapy is tailored to each individual, creating a supportive space where healing, self-understanding and emotional recovery can gradually take place.

Relationship Counselling Services

Relationship counselling services for communication problems, separation, conflict and emotional pain.

Many people reach a point where relationships feel strained, confidence has been worn down, or life no longer feels clear or fulfilling. You may feel stuck in unhealthy patterns, uncertain about your next step, or disconnected from the person you want to be. Whether you are facing relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, loss of direction, or major life changes, individual therapy can offer a supportive space to explore what is happening and begin to move forward.

Together, we can look at the thoughts, emotions, and experiences that may be holding you back, helping you build healthier relationships, greater self-confidence, and a stronger sense of purpose. With the right support, change is possible, and feeling stuck does not have to be permanent.

Music, Singing & Emotional Wellbeing

Throughout life, many people turn to music during periods of emotional pain, stress, grief, heartbreak, loneliness, anxiety, burnout, or change. Often, music expresses emotions that people struggle to explain themselves.

Psychologically, music can have a powerful impact on emotional wellbeing. Certain songs can trigger memories, provide emotional release, create feelings of comfort and connection, and help regulate emotional overwhelm. Singing itself can also encourage emotional expression, reduce internal tension, support relaxation, and help people reconnect with themselves emotionally.

Alongside my work as a psychotherapist and wellbeing practitioner, I have always recognised the emotional power of music and singing in supporting mental and emotional wellbeing. Music can help people feel seen, understood, calmer, less alone, and more emotionally connected during difficult periods of life.

Many of the songs and reflections I share explore themes such as:
• emotional healing
• grief and loss
• relationships and attachment
• anxiety and emotional overload
• burnout and exhaustion
• confidence and identity
• menopause and emotional change
• resilience and self-worth

My Instagram page combines psychological insight, emotional reflection, and music to create supportive content for people navigating emotional challenges and life transitions.

You are welcome to follow my Instagram page for reflective wellbeing content, psychological insight, music interpretation, and emotional support.

Negative Thought Patterns and Ruminating Thoughts

Negative and ruminating thought patterns can feel exhausting and emotionally consuming. Many people become stuck replaying conversations, overanalysing situations, expecting the worst or questioning themselves constantly, even when part of them knows it is hurting them. It can feel impossible to switch your mind off, leaving you emotionally drained, anxious and disconnected from yourself.

In therapy, I help people understand that thoughts and feelings are not always facts, especially when anxiety, trauma, stress or low self worth are influencing the mind. Together we explore the emotional roots behind these patterns with compassion rather than judgement, helping you slowly step out of cycles of overthinking, self doubt and emotional overwhelm, while building a calmer and healthier relationship with yourself.
